King County Recovery Coalition — Mar/Com
For King County Recovery Coalition, I helped shape how recovery, community, and connection showed up visually and publicly. My work blended strategy, design, storytelling, and hands-on production to promote events, elevate coalition initiatives, and make behavioral health and recovery topics feel approachable, relevant, and real. From campaign concepts to social graphics, newsletters, websites, event programs, and on-site materials, I created communications that invited participation and reflected the heart of the recovery community. As a regional coalition connected to the Washington Recovery Alliance, KCRC operates with its own identity, leadership, and community voice. My role often involved translating that semi-independent structure into cohesive, co-branded communications that supported both KCRC and WRA initiatives while keeping KCRC's presence distinct and recognizable. KING COUNTY RECOVERY CONVERSATIONS For the King County Recovery Conversations series, I created refreshed visual templates for TikTok, Reels, and social promotion to make the series feel more current, polished, and platform-ready. I developed iterations of podcast graphics for episode promotion, selected titles and show notes with support from Castmagic, and managed publishing workflows across Spotify for Creators, YouTube, Hootsuite, and Mailchimp. This work helped extend the life of each episode across multiple channels while creating a more cohesive and recognizable identity for the series. RECOVERY DAY AT THE MARINERS One of my largest KCRC-related projects was the 5th Anniversary Recovery Day at the Mariners Game Day Program — a major co-branded print piece for KCRC and WRA. I designed the full publication from start to finish, including layout, editorial structure, original written content, visual storytelling, sponsor integration, and overall art direction. I also created event signage, promotional flyers, digital assets, website updates, and branded communications leading up to the event, in addition to handling logo placement for giveaway T-shirts and supporting on-site event materials. This project required both big-picture campaign thinking and meticulous design execution across print, digital, and live event environments. RECOVERY IN ACTION + LEGISLATIVE FORUM SUPPORT For Recovery in Action and the King County Behavioral Health Legislative Forum, I supported event branding, speaker preparation, promotion, same-day staffing, and post-event communications. I helped ensure the event presented professionally for a public audience that included lawmakers, legislators, and community leaders. My role extended beyond communications into real-time event production, troubleshooting, crowd guidance, and visual setup — helping the event run smoothly and maintain a polished, credible presence. I also created a lasting visual identity for Recovery in Action, developing a timeless logo system to support future use. LONG-TERM BRAND BUILDING Beyond individual events, I contributed to broader visual identity development for coalition campaigns and recurring initiatives. This included creating enduring logo systems and rebrands for Recovery in Action, Recovery Day at the Mariners, Recovery Advocacy Day, and Gratitude for the Frontlines. My approach focused on building bold, memorable, and reusable creative systems that could grow with each campaign over time while staying rooted in community-centered storytelling. Every project had one job: make recovery feel real, reachable, and worth showing up for.
